March 30

palm-like flower-

Can anyone help me identify this plant? I love the blue colors and look forward to seeing it bloom. It was in the high 70s at Descanso Gardens today, and it was crowded with Easter weekend visitors. The camellia forest is in full flower now, more roses are blooming, and the lilacs are fragrant. More photos coming from Descanso later this week.

It was a small miracle this was in focus — I shot it at f5.6 at 1/50th of a second — hand held. I walked out the door without the plate that connects my camera to my tripod.

  1. Another great photo! I love lilacs and miss smelling them in the yard. I have looked into visiting these gardens, maybe one day I will make the trip up there! 🙂
