Coast sunflower at Descanso Gardens.
One of the most surprising things to me about visiting either Descanso Gardens or the Huntington Library and Gardens every weekend is how quickly the gardens change. I was surprised that no lilacs were blooming at Descanso today. And the dogwoods seemed to be in bloom for only two weeks. They are done now. The camellias have a very long season, but they are starting to peter out too.
But the rose beds are magnificent now.
Here’s today’s moment of Zen.
